Which is the most abundant element in the space?

Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe. It makes up three-fourth of all visible/material matter. Helium is the second most abundant.

I say 'all visible/material matter,' because today we know and are trying to learn about dark matter and dark energy. Dark matter doesn't interact with photons and hence are not visible.

So Hydrogen and Helium, which make up 99% of the material/visible universe (for lack of a better word; can't think up another at this moment), actually constitute about 4% of universe, as can be seen below. All the elements that make up our world actually just constitute 5% of the universe. The rest, we don't know about and can't see.

Think about it, all the galaxies, stars, planets, dust and gas make up just 5% of the universe. And the rest, we don't know much about and can't see them!

I am sure that there are some out there that would say that this does not constitute a proof, but I have always found this to be a beautifu...
